Free Folkestone Triennial Trip


9.30 Coach departs UCA Maidstone reception

10.45 Arrive and meet other staff and students at Folkestone Triennial Information Centre, 3 – 7 Tontine Street, Folkestone CT20 1JT

There is an official tour from 12.00 – you’ll need to book but it’s free – 15 places, first come first served.

Martin Creed Work no 1196. Both UP and DOWN in the Leas Lift.
Hew Locke-For those in Peril on the Sea. Church The Bayle
Cornelia Parker-Folkestone Mermaid, end of the Stade.
Olivia Plender- Masonic Hall Grace Hill ( subtle but well done for access to this place. The Empire Board of Trade posters inserted in the lodge from the museum)

The bottom of the Old High Street is where the info centre is, all the maps are very good to have, so you can see the permanent works from 2008.
Googies is a cool cafe (Guidhall street) Chummies in the harbour does cheap but good sea food. Noodles £3.etc.


15.45 Folkestone Triennial Information Centre, 3-7 Tontine Street,
CT20 1JT for coach return to UCA Maidstone.

17.00 Arrive UCA Maidstone.

Adrian Lovis will travel with the coach and is the contact throughout the day.
