Guerrilla | Maidstone 26 – 30th September The Mall Maidstone The idea of Guerrilla : Maidstone, is to provide up and coming photographers/artists a public platform for there work to be viewed. Taking advantage of slack spaces, it gives the viewer an exceptional chance to experience a variety of styles and approaches to the photographic medium. It also challenges the status quo of display, and the generic white cube associated with gallery space. This exhibition is a showcase of work by photography students currently studying or graduated from UCA Maidstone, and an Erasmus exchange host Dublin institute of technology. With an array of different photographic concepts, the work shows the promising talent created by the next generation of passionate and dedicated students. The exhibition is hoped to be inspiring and thought provoking to a wider audience. With works by Fleur Alston, Amy Bindon, Elin Karlson, Ali Farmer, Ciuin Tracey, Treasa O Hanlon, Michalis Intzieyianni, Deidre McGing, Caitriona Lawless, Lyndsey Putt, Phoebe Gill,Noel Noblett, emily hedge, Lou Gage, Michelle Kleyr and Florence Geary http://guerrillamaidstone. |
